Storms Knock Out Power Overnight To Thousands

However, customers in Sunset Hills and Crestwood seemed to have sidestepped the outage, with few impacted.

Thousands of Ameren Missouri customers were without power this morning. But by afternoon, the power company's website indicates 5,980 customers in St. Louis County are without power as of 2:30pm on June 27. That's down from nearly 20,000 outages at 8am.

Only a small portion of those customers without power were in Sunset Hills and Crestwood. About 40 customers were without power in the two cities by 8:30am Monday. By 2:30pm, there was one customer out, according to usage maps of the Sunset Hills and Crestwood areas.

Sunset Hills and Crestwood were surrounded on three sides by outages in Kirkwood, Fenton, and Affton. Florissant and Hazlewood appeared to be hit hard.

Kirkwood had 1,575 customers in the dark at 9am Monday.

St. Charles County seems to have avoided a mass power outage.
