It's Tuesday: TV's 'American Idol' Auditions In St. Louis

If you registered, your Idol life begins at 5am.

American Idol auditions in St. Louis start today, June 28, at 5am. 

St. Louis is the first stop on the 11th season auditions for the singing talent competition reality show for hopefuls aged 15 - 28 years old.

Singer Carrie Underwood auditioned from St. Louis in the 4th season ofAmerican Idol and has gone on to a degree of fame from competing on the hit TV show. David Cook, a winner in the 7th season of the show is from Missouri.

The process of winning an American Idol audition this month:

  • Begin at atrium of Scottrade Center in St. Louis
  • June 26 at 7am registration begins 
  • Registration includes wristbands distribution
  • June 28 about 8am concludes registration and wristband distribution
  • June 28 at 5am tryouts are expected to begin at the Center
  • TV show's producers audition singers for the first cut
  • American Idol judges audition singers for second cut later in the summer.
