Movers for Moms Collection Drive

Though Mother’s Day is intended to be a joyous occasion for women across the country, thousands of moms will be overlooked on this special holiday because they are forced to live in shelters as a result of domestic abuse or homelessness.

To ensure moms in crisis receive the love and appreciation they deserve this Mother’s Day, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® of Metro St. Louis is introducing the Movers for Moms® collection drive to the local community to provide critical gifts to local women staying in the Women's Safe House this spring.

The office is collecting small gifts for the women including basic necessities like shampoo, conditioner and lotion, and comfort items like new slippers and perfume. The company welcomes public donations at its Sunset Hills and Collinsville, Ill. offices until May 11, when it will take them to the Women's Safe House in time for Mother's Day.

This is the first year that the St. Louis moving company is working with local schools such as Conway Elementary and 25 KinderCare locations to collect essential and comfort items for the Mover for Moms drive.

In addition to its school partners, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® welcomes local businesses and organizations to join in the effort of bringing relief and comfort to moms in need. Anyone interested in supporting local moms in need can visit www.twomenandatruck.com/moversformom
