Maci Gapsch is 3rd House Fire Victim

Gapsch's father and great grandmother died previously from the South County house fire.

Maci Gapsch, 11, is the third person to die as a result of a house fire at 10005 St. Simon Court Tuesday morning. She had been in critical condition at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. She died at 7:28 p.m. Wednesday, St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Maci’s great-grandmother, Georgette Gapsch, 79, and father, Terry “T.J.” Gapsch, 38, were also victims of the fire. The cause of the fire is being investigated, but St. Louis County Police Officer Rick Eckhard said it does not appear suspicious.

Funeral services are expected to be held next week, according to the Lindbergh School District website.
