St. Justin Martyr School Teacher Receives Archdiocesan Award
St. Justin middle school teacher Mrs. Beth Kassel receives 2013 Cardinal Burke Award for best practice methods and broad faith integration.
The St. Louis Archdiocese recently announced the 2013 Cardinal Raymond L. Burke Teacher Recognition awards. St. Justin Martyr’s sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Beth Kassel, received the award for Region Five. The award honors teachers in elementary and secondary schools for their outstanding service and performance, specifically for the use of “best practice” methods in their classrooms. All recipients will receive their award at a reception held for them by the Archdiocese in May.
St. Justin Principal, Mrs. Beth Bartolotta, said, “Mrs. Kassel is such a gift to her
students and to our St. Justin community. Her enthusiasm for learning is contagious. She empowers her students as learners by helping them discover their learning styles and strategies for their learning challenges. She integrates faith into all aspects of her work. She truly enriches each child’s mind, heart and spirit.”
