Big Brothers Big Sisters Launches March Madness Campaign

Anyone can participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters' latest campaign. Nominate someone you think would make a great Big Brother and if he gets matched you earn $100.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri (BBBSEMO) has gone “mad” this March and the agency is hoping this “madness” generates some new Big Brothers. Through its March Madness Campaign, Big Brothers Big Sisters
promises $100 to anyone who nominates a Big Brother and he gets matched.

“Anyone can participate in our March Madness Campaign,” said Becky James-Hatter, President/CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters. “And the idea is very simple, if you know someone who you think would make a great Big Brother, please nominate him by going to our website or by picking up the phone and calling us,” she added.

The $100 will be paid when a qualified Big Brother successfully completes the agency’s screening and matching process. The $100 will be awarded to any individual who refers one of the first 20 men to be matched from the nomination pool. The maximum total payout is $2,000.

In January of this year, Big Brothers Big Sisters resolved to match 800 children on its waiting list. More than 50 percent of those waiting are boys.

“Look around in your own life – who are some of the great, caring men you know? They might be your friends, your family members or your co-workers,” James-Hatter suggested, concluding, “Nominate someone today.”
