When asked about the proposed development of a Quick Trip at Hwy 30 and 270, Mr. Furrer said, "Sunset Hills is a residential community.  This development would disturb the residential setting and should not proceed. Additionally, the increase in traffic congestion would affect many residents from the surrounding area."  Furrer went on to say, "Other municipalities have evaluated and rejected this type of fuel stop along I-270 and we should too.  This would essentially be the only 24 hour, on-off, fuel stop from Bridgeton to Telegraph Road.  It is simply not worth it on many levels."
