Blotter: Laptops Taken from Best Buy

Crestwood Police reports on law enforcement and criminal activity, Dec. 19-26.

Theft

  • Dec. 24: Two individuals stole two laptops from Best Buy valued at $4,000.
  • Dec. 26: Two individuals stole Rams jerseys valued at $200 from Kohl's.
  • Dec. 26: Circle K, 9931 Watson Rd., reported two gas drive-offs.
  • Dec. 27: A mother-daughter team took a bottle of Taylor Swift perfume and a Hello Kitty watch valued at $85. 

Destruction of property

  • Dec. 23: A resident on Maeburn Terrace reported that a blow-up Santa on their lawn appeared to be cut with a knife.

Of course, Kohl's ripped off again. I guess they just add a percentage of allowed theft losses onto the retail price. The store is apparently ripped off weekly if not daily. And how in the world do two people walk out of best buy with laptops? Don't they have those alarm strips on them? Nice laptops for 2K each as well.
