Burglar(s) on the Lam With Two TVs

No suspects, Sunset Hills police said, after two home thefts on the same street Tuesday and Wednesday.

Two televisions and $40 from a coin jar went missing Tuesday and Wednesday from two separate houses on Deane Court, a spokesman for Sunset Hills police said Wednesday.

Police were calling it burglary.

One house was in the 200 block of Deane Court and the other in the 100 block of Deane Court. There was neither signs of forced entry at the houses, police said, nor was a key used.

The burglaries occurred during daylight hours when residents would typically be away, perhaps at a job. The Wednesday theft was in the morning, sometime before 1:15 p.m.

A $200 TV and $40 was taken from the house in the 200 block.

A $600 flat-screen TV was taken from the other house, in the 100 block.

There were no suspects in either case. Police said it was quite likely the thefts were linked.

The thefts were in a small neighborhood of four residential streets near the intersection of Lindbergh Boulevard and Watson Road.

Crime in Crestwood:  Police said Tuesday that detectives were investigating the theft of copper pipe and wiring from a half-dozen homes in Crestwood that were likely linked to the arrest of a couple, Samantha Norwood, 22, and Joseph Travis, 28, on Feb. 6 in Sunset Hills.

The pair were spotted coming out of a vacant house on Maebern Terrace at 11:20 p.m. and took off running from police, according to Sunset Hills police. A getaway car was parked on the street, police said.

Brentwood police said they have linked recent copper thefts to the incarcerated pair.
