Cops Nab Suspect in Recent Home TV Thefts

Including $40 in change jar recovered.

A suspect in the thefts of two TVs from a pair of Deane Court houses in February was picked up and arrested by Sunset Hills police last week, according to a police spokesman. 

Detectives arrested Aaron Waugh, a South County man. Police said he was in his 20s. Bail was set at $25,000 for each charge of burglary..

Two televisions and $40 from a coin jar went missing Feb. 21 and Feb. 22 from two separate houses in the 100- and 200-blocks of Deane Court, a spokesman for Sunset Hills police said.

There was neither signs of forced entry at the houses, police said, nor was a key used.

The burglaries occurred during daylight hours when residents would typically be away at a job. The Wednesday theft was in the morning, sometime before 1:15 p.m.

A $200 TV and $40 was taken from the house in the 200 block.

A $600 flat-screen TV was taken from the other house, in the 100 block.

Police linked Waugh to both burglaries.

The thefts were in a small neighborhood of four residential streets near the intersection of Lindbergh Boulevard and Watson Road.
