Jewelry, Children's Clothing, Electronics Stolen from Crestwood Cars
Thieves are hitting multiple vehicles in neighborhoods, police said.
Thefts from vehicles in Crestwood neighborhoods have risen with the temperatures, and the culprits are targeting electronics and other valuable items.
The following incidents were reported by residents during the first half of July:
- July 8: The windows were broken out of a Chevy Tahoe on Denton. No items were taken.
- July 11: Thieves broke into four cars on Crain Court. A navigation card valued at $250, a Bluetooth device valued at $100, Klips headphones, and a Dell laptop and bag valued at $1,300 were among the items reported stolen.
- July 12: A GPS device worth $250 was taken from a Honda on Lodge Pole.
- July 13: A window was broken out of a 1999 Nissan on Woodbine. No items were taken.
- July 15: License plate tabs were reported missing on Manda.
- July 17: The lock assemblage was damaged on two Pontiac cars parked at a home on Acorn.
- July 17: Jewelry, and a surround sound system valued at $2,800 was taken from a 2007 Buick on Sanders.
- July 17: Children’s clothing valued at $100 was taken from a car on Park Crestwood.
- July 17: Five cars were broken into on Pinellas. A stereo and GPS device were reported stolen.
