Theft of Air Conditioning Units, Items from Vehicles Continue

The third home in two weeks reported an air conditioning unit was stolen, according to Sunset Hills police reports.

A third Sunset Hills home in less than two weeks reported the theft of an air conditioning unit, according to .

Units from two homes were taken from residences near the Interstate 270-Interstate 44 interchange on Aug. 1. The latest theft was reported on the 200 block of Deane Court on Aug. 11 around 3 p.m. 

Thieves are still checking parked cars for unlocked doors and targeting loose items as well. Seven residents reported tampering or thefts to their vehicles in a cluster of neighborhoods south of Lindbergh Boulevard last week. Police told Patch last week items taken ranged from loose change to electronics, like GPS units.

Various power tools were reported stolen from a vehicle in an unspecified location in Sunset Hills on Aug. 13.
