Attorney Alleges Councilwoman Is Harassing Arnold Business

A lawyer representing We Buy Gold told the Arnold City Council that Doris Borgelt's behavior has been "unacceptable."

Bob Plunkert, an attorney representing Definitions Holding - also known as We Buy Gold, has accused Ward 1 Councilwoman Doris Borgelt of harassment.

He told council members at a recent meeting that his client has complied with all business codes and permits. The business is located at 940 Jeffco Blvd.

"She has called him a criminal," Plunkert said. "She has gone out of her way to approach him at his property at all times of day. She is harassing the owner of Definitions Holding."

Plunkert added that Borgelt does not have permission to come onto the company's property and is therefore trespassing. He said he wanted to raise this to the attention of the council and let it know that Borgelt's behavior was unacceptable.

He said he is seeking a civil resolution in the matter.

Borgelt, who is running for the city's mayoral seat in the April 2013 election, denied the accusation and said that she had only visited the business once. She said she may have been seen visiting a nearby cleaner.

Ward 2 Councilman Bill Moritz said that he knew that Borgelt had visited the business, and that the company was operating in an old house. He said it was grandfathered out of certain building codes, like compliance with the American Disabilities Act.

Moritz asked Community Development Director Mary Holden if the business was in compliance with building codes. She confirmed that it was.

Mayor Ron Counts said this behavior was not acceptable, and he hoped to get it resolved.

It is interesting that Bill Moritz, well-known election dirty trickster (snipe signs in 2010), seems to be well-versed about this accusation. I would examine what ties exist between Moritz, Bob Sweeney, and this gold company. http://www.24thstate.com/2010/04/arnold-councilmen-moritz-and-crisler-caught-redhanded.html

This is no surprise. Doris is constantly in everyone elses business. She attacks people all over the County and accuses people of things she should not have her nose (or mouth) in. As has been stated on my blog, if you elect her as Mayor, the City will transcend into a Gestapo environment and this is a prime example of that. Doris has followed and spied on many other people in the past. They have complained about it so this is not her first offense. By the way, JC Penknife is her buddy, Bob Boyer, so what he says is pretty one sided.

Poor Linda, Wouldn't it be great if you were able to make a valid argument instead of just throwing random accusations out there? I do the job I was elected to do, that entails holding people accountable and making sure things are done right. As for JCPenknife, I haven't a clue as to who he is, I think I would know if it were Bob Boyer, but then again he doesn't answer to me. I think Linda is just throwing that out there as a random accusation.

We,, I must say that I have known Doris for years, she is my go to person when I need information, or an unbiased opinion; I have always depended on her for her honesty, perserverance and mostly her intelligence. Doris has always been my friend and will be for years to come. I just wish I lived in Arnold so I could vote for her. Thanks, Dee Hagemeier

Like I have said before, she is a BAD apple!! Has not right to be on any board of any kind . Arnold does not need people like her here. Most people go out of their way to help some one,I bet she would put her foot out to trip them.Shame on her!
