Fireworks Were on the Sunset Hills City Council Agenda
Council approves permit for a fireworks display June 7 at Faith Church.
There were fireworks on the Sunset Hills City Council agenda Tuesday, but nobody got burned.
The council approved by a 6-0 vote a fireworks permit for Faith Church, 13001 Gravois Road, to have a small fireworks display at about 9 p.m. June 7 in conjunction with a conference June 7-8 called "I Am Woman."
John C Weiter, of Gateway Fireworks Displays asked the city for a permit to hold the display for the church, presented documents that the display and the transport of the fireworks would meet all county and state fireworks regulations.
