Improve Your Eco Education at Sunset Hills Earth Day Event

The Green Objectives for Sunset Hills Committee's free event will include a plant exchange, 5K for clean water, recycling opportunities, and more than 30 green vendors (including Patch!).

The Green Objectives for Sunset Hills Committee is busy preparing for its free Earth Day event on April 14.

The event features local green vendors and children’s activities. Residents will have the opportunity to recycle clothes, shoes, Christmas lights, batteries, glass, and other items.

With the help of the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Rotary Club, they’re introducing their first 5k sponsor run to bring clean water to all parts of the world. Global Run 4 Water is organized by local Rotary clubs. Funds raised go toward Matching Grant (MG) and Global Grant (GG) clean water and sanitation projects, according to the project website. A plant exchange sponsored by the Sunset Hills Garden Club is scheduled afterward at the Sunset Hills Community Center.
