Lindbergh School, Sunset Hills Boards Separately Meet Tonight

Both boards are scheduled to meet for the first time in 2012.

The holiday season wraps up in Sunset Hills as the first item on the agenda is the Christmas lighting contest award presentation. 

on Lindbergh is opting to up their amp, as they are requesting a liquor license for their location. 

New business includes first readings of bill Nos. 27, 28 and 29: An ordinance amending Sec. 16-21 of the Code of Ordinances relative to telephone harassment, an ordinance providing for an election to extend a sales tax for the purpose of funding capital improvements and paying the costs of operation and maintenance of said capital improvements for the City of Sunset Hills and for imposition of the sales tax thereafter and an ordinance choosing to participate in the Show Me Green Sales Tax Holiday.

Lastly, Beth Huonker will be appointed to a three-year term on the Swim & Dive Adivisory Committee, replacing Mary Hartman.

Over at the Lindbergh Early Childhood Education Center at 4814 South Lindbergh, the Lindbergh School Board meeting begins with a number of mid-school year recognitions and commendations. 2012 Lindbergh Leaders banquet information, Board candidate filing dates and CSD Winter Conference dates will be discussed. Plans to update the LHS cafeteria are in a special report, and a parent organization also will give a donations report. 

An executive session following a recess follows. Items up for discussion are hiring, firing, promotion and discipline of personnel; lease purchase, sale of real estate; preparations for negotiations with employee groups and more. 

The Board of Education meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.
