MoDOT Announces St. Louis Regional Weekend Work Zones

In downtown St. Louis this weekend, all lanes of eastbound I-64 will be closed for bridge work from Jefferson to the Poplar Street bridge. The closures begin at 3 a.m. Saturday and the interstate will reopen by 3 a.m. Monday. 

Two lanes on the westbound Poplar Street bridge also will close, starting at 8 p.m. Friday. The lanes are expected to reopen by 5 p.m.Sunday. In addition, one eastbound lane on the Poplar Street bridge will close from 5 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday. 

Bridge repairs begin in North St. Louis County this weekend, as crews will close the left lane of eastbound I-270 between Lindbergh Boulevard and Interstate 170 beginning at 9 p.m. Friday. A second left lane will close Friday and Saturday between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. All lanes are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. 

The westbound I-70 Blanchette Bridge will have two lanes closed 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday for its annual bridge inspection. One lane of eastbound I-70 at the Blanchette Bridge will be closed for inspections on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Crews will narrow the westbound I-70 exit ramps to northbound and southbound I-270 on Monday from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. The ramps will close on Tuesday from 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. This work is to add a lane on the exit ramps in preparation for the year long closure of the westbound Blanchette bridge scheduled for 2012. ·        I-55, St. Louis City, Holly Hills across I-55 is closed for bridge replacement. 
·        I-64, St. Louis City, eastbound 11th Street exit ramp closed weekdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 
·        Grand Blvd, St. Louis City, closed from I-64 to Chouteau by St. Louis City until mid 2012. 
·        I-270, St. Louis County, westbound Route 364 exit to northbound I-270 is closed until mid-September.
