MoDOT Announces Weekend Road Work

Motorist are urged to use MetroLink and avoid Hampton during the Forest Park Balloon Glow, Race events.

Motorists heading to the Forest Park balloon events this weekend should arrive at the park early, use alternative routes to access the park and use public transit like MetroLink. Eastbound and westbound I-64 at Hampton will experience traffic delays, so motorists should use I-44 to Kingshighway.

The best alternate routes for motorists to access the park are McCausland/Skinker, Kingshighway at West Pine and entrances along the north side of the park, such as DeBaliviere. Using these entrances will help motorists avoid long traffic delays expected on Hampton.

The Forest Park Trolley will run on a special route in the park with service to and from the Forest Park (DeBaliviere) MetroLink Station. The Trolley will also run late on Friday night to offer service before, during and after the balloon glow.

The right lane on westbound I-70 at I-270 will close at 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday for pavement repairs.
