Show Your Presidential Preference in 7-Eleven Coffee Cup Poll

Stop by the nearest convenience store to place your 'vote' for Obama, Romney, or 'neutral.'

If the patrons 7-Elevens in Missouri decided the 2012 presidential election, so far Barack Obama would be the winner.

The convenience store chain started selling large coffee in red cups (for Romney) or blue cups (for Obama) on Sept. 6. It's a national campaign for the chain in honor of the 2012 presidential election. (Fitz's U. City location is also conducting a similar poll with its bottled sodas.)

Here's where Crestwood and Sunset Hills residents can participate locally:

  • 639 W. Woodbine Ave. in Kirkwood
  • 9998 Gravois Rd. in Affton
  • 8000 MacKenzie Rd. in Marlborough

The 7-Election2012 website has area, statewide and national results online. As of Oct. 15, 61 percent of Missouri customers chose blue cups.

Nationally, Obama is ahead 59 percent to 41 percent.

Cities in the St. Louis area with 7-Elevens are listed below, with the percentages of blue to red cups sold so far. The leader in each city is bolded.
