Sunset Hills, Crestwood Boards of Aldermen to Meet Simultaneously

Both cities have several items on tonight's agendas.

During tonight's Board of Aldermen meeting in Crestwood, several agenda items will be addressed.

First up will be a discussion about property tax rates, followed by a memo regarding an Ameren UE rate increase and a meeting room rental fee. A toll road request will be addressed, along with an ordinance regarding 2011 tax rates and property tax rate calculation discussions.

A proclamation for Constitution Week will be read to close out the meeting.

Over in Sunset Hills, the meeting will begin with a service award presentation. The Sunset Hills Golf Course and Banquet Center is requesting a business license and liquor license. 

is asking for a one-day extension to their liquor license for the Sept. 24 Oktoberfest event. is asking to have a 5K run on Oct. 8.

Tax rates also are on Sunset Hills' agenda.

New business items include several ordinance readings, and a proclamation for the week of Sept. 17-23 as "Constitution Week." Sept. 25 will be proclaimed "American Gold Star Mothers Recognition Day" and the board plans to reappoint Parks & Recreation Commissioner John Tipton to a three-year term.

Both meetings begin at 7 p.m.
