Sunset Hills Election: Five Candidates Start 2013 Aldermen Race

The city's four incumbents and a former aldermen registered their candidacies Tuesday at city hall for the April 2 election.

While no one in Crestwood has thrown their hat in for next year's aldermen race yet, five Sunset Hills residents registered with city hall by the end of the first filing day on Tuesday.

Candidates as of 5 p.m. on Dec. 11: Former alderman Frank Hardy is challenging incumbent Dee Baebler in Ward I; Hardy was defeated by Richard Gau during his re-election run last year. Aldermen Scott Haggerty (Ward II), Jan Hoffmann (Ward III), and Patricia Fribis (Ward IV) have also registered in hopes of retaining their seats for another term.

The filing period will stay open until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15.  Those elected will serve a term of two years. The election is scheduled for April 2, 2013. Learn more on filing for the Sunset Hills Board of Aldermen.
