1. The Crestwood Department of Fire Services Board of Fire Commissioners meets at 7 p.m. in the fire administrative offices. Items on the agenda include annual inspections and testings and the 2012 budget.

3. For those "People's Court" junkies, you can get your own dose here at home. Municipal Court meets at 7 p.m. at the Sunset Hills City Hall Assembly Room.

4. Starting today, Missouri State Fair attendees can register to will a Kindle and a $25 Amazon gift card from MOST-Missouri's 529 College Savings Plan. Visit MOST 529 booth in the Agricultural Building from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. each day of the fair. Missourians, 18 or older, are eligible.

5. According to a new report from Volunteering in America, St. Louis ranks 10th in the nation of residents who volunteer among 52 large cities. Overall, Missouri ranks 22nd in the country for residents who volunteer.
