Area Pools Inspected by County, Ready for Summer Season

Patch examined inspection reports in Sunset Hills and Crestwood in May where several area pools were inspected. 

Information has been compiled using publicly available data published to the website of the St. Louis County Health Department. 

Unless otherwise noted, all inspections were conducted on a routine basis. 

, 3660 S. Lindbergh Blvd. 
Inspection date: May 14
Items for Consideration: The pool deck needs to be cleared of build up and gum.
Comments: This was a follow-up visit from March 14 in which the PH level was too high for pool quality (registered at 8.0ppm, needs to be 7.0-7.8) and the pool deck needed to be cleaned of gum and debris.

Inspection date: May 16
Items for Consideration: The PH level is too high at 8.0ppm. PH needs to be at 7.0-7.8.

, 1580 S. Kirkwood Rd. 
Inspection date: May 10
Items for Consideration: None

, 10701 Watson Rd. 
Inspection date: May 10
Items for Consideration: Need to check on correct depth in pool's deep end.
Comments: This was a follow-up visit from April 12 in which the deep end depth also was noted. 

, 3730 S. Lindbergh Blvd. 
Inspection date: May 16
Items for Consideration: Under gates/self closing, self latching, the door going to the outside needs to be adjusted to be able to close on its own. Also, under fence, windows need screens if open.
Comments: This pool also was inspected May 14. Items for consideration which were not on May 16's report were a check of the flowmeter under recirculation equipment, secure 5-ft. depth marking to wall of pool. Also free chlorine was 0ppm and needed to be at 1.0-8.0ppm and pool was pea green. The health department noted that the pool was to be closed until those items were corrected.
