A $5 ticket gets puts you into 1/100 chance to win.

Crestwood Elementary's fundraiser Fun Fair on Friday, March 4 is already selling its 100 tickets to win an iPod Touch 4G.

If you don't know what this means, ask your children.

The $5 tickets are sold by Crestwood's 5th graders and only 100 tickets total are available.

That means a buyer with one ticket would have one chance out of 100 to win. If a buyer bought five tickets, well, that's pretty good odds compared to state lottery tickets.

Crestwood Elementary's Fun Fair tends to draw upwards of 700 people, according to school Principal Scott Taylor. During a sparsely-attended PTO meeting Thursday at the school, Taylor pointed out that the Board of Education candidates in attendance would meet many people at the fair.

Six candidates are vying for three seats on the Lindbergh school board, including two incumbents. The district-wide election is April 5.

Tickets for the iPod raffle may be purchased by submitting name, address and check to the school office. Please also name a 5th-grade student as the ticket seller because the student who sells the winning ticket receives a $25 gift card to Best Buy.

The drawing for the iPod is March 4 at the Fun Fair. Winner need not be present.

Fun Fair also needs items for the Silent Auction including:

  • Craft Items
  • A Wedding gift you never used
  • Sports Memorabilia
  • Tickets to anything
  • Gift Certificates
  • Services (housekeeping, hair cutting, lawn work)

Email angelah60@yahoo.com for information or simply drop off the item at the school and labeled "Silent Auction."
