LHS Marching Band Brings Home Honors Two Weekends in a Row

The band also was awarded Outstanding Drum Majors and Outstanding Percussion honors.

The Lindbergh Spirit of St. Louis Marching band placed second in its division at the Farmington Marching Invitational in late September. The band also was awarded Outstanding Drum Majors and Outstanding Percussion honors.

At the Webbstock Marching Festival in Webb City, Mo., also in late September, Lindbergh placed second out of 30 bands, and senior Eliot Courtois was awarded Outstanding Soloist in both the preliminary and final performances.

“Thanks to all of the chaperones, equipment helpers, bus drivers, staff and students for making our trip to Webb City a lot of fun and very successful,” said David Wyss, director of bands, in a statement. “The organization of the festival and judging comments were top notch, and I feel like the kids saw a lot, learned a lot and had a blast.”
