Lindbergh Board of Education Meets Tonight

Items on the agenda include special recognitions, update on new district website redesign.

Tonight's Lindbergh Board of Education meeting begins with announcements and a review of the upcoming BOE meeting agenda. 

Following will be a special report of the new district website redesign, which includes improved homepage organization with specific tabs for parents, students, staff and community; Google calendars that sync with users’ personal planners; live Facebook and Twitter feeds and an improved Google site search.

Acceptance of the financial report, along with the approval of bids, quotations, agreements and grant applications are next on the agenda.

Bus routes for the 2011-2012 school year also need to be approved.

Special students and programs also will be recognized at the meeting, including STARS student ; Roopal Goel, Lydia Burkett and Kaitlyn Crutchley, who all won awards in the Martin Luther King Jr. poster contest; and , who received a sportsmanship scholarship. Team recognitions include the cheerleading squad, who stood out at the National Cheerleaders Association camp; the boys cross country team, who received the first ever Team of the Week recognition; and Lindbergh as a whole, who received high rankings in both MAP and ACT testing.

The board meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Lindbergh Early Childhood Education Center.
