Lindbergh High School Achieves Highest ACT Scores in School History

Seniors who graduated in 2011 gained an average composite score of 24.2.

This is the year for students' assessment testing. After the district earned top MAP scores in the state, the high school students followed suit with the highest ACT scores in school history.

According to the 2011 ACT College Readiness Letter, seniors who graduated in 2011 achieved an average composite score of 24.2 on the ACT. This is a half point higher than in 2010.

Jonathan Riethmeier, Lindbergh counseling director, said that jumps more than a few tenths of a point per year are rare. The school's 24.2 score average compares with an average of 21.6 across the state of Missouri.

“This shows us that our kids are college ready, so we know that when they go on to the next level of schooling they are truly prepared,” said Ron Helms, Lindbergh principal, in a statement.

The ACT College Readiness Letter is published to indicate how prepared students are for college coursework.
