Lindbergh High School Raises Cash for Sunday Night Lights

Students raised more than $900 with a weekend car wash, the school's marching band places at the O'Fallon Classic, and the Math Department holds a food drive for Feed My People.

Football Car Wash Raises Funds for Sunday Night Lights

The Lindbergh High School Football Flyers – freshman, JV and Varsity – pulled together Sept. 8 to raise money for Sunday Night Lights.The athletes sponsored a car wash, which raised more than $900 to fund the third annual community event that supports children with cancer throughout St. Louis. Lindbergh student groups join together in Sunday Night Lights to provide a real football game experience for young boys and girls. LHS Band Wins First at O’Fallon Classic

The Lindbergh High School Spirit of St. Louis Marching Band finished first in tits division at the 32nd annual Metro East Marching Classic Sept. 15, which took place at O’Fallon (IL)Township High School. The band also received the “Outstanding Music” caption for the division and was selected as the Grand Champion of the entire event. The Spirit of St. Louis marching Band is directed by David Wyss.

Math Department Helps Fill Food Pantry

The Lindbergh High School math department held a one-week food drive in September to support Feed My People, after hearing the food pantry’s shelves were empty. Students and teachers collected $1,000 in donations, and enough food to fill the pantry’s truck. The food drive was organized by teacher Jen Swift. The class with the most food collected was Amy Kaiser’s sixth hour Algebra 2 class.
