Lindbergh School Board Holds Weekend Workshop

Parents and other community members are welcomed to attend the board's public workshop at 8 a.m. this Saturday. The 2012-2013 budget will be presented.

On Saturday, April 28, Lindbergh School District officials will meet in a special workshop where board members will discuss the financial future of the district as well as instruct new board members in the district’s policies.

The workshop will begin at 8 a.m. and will be held at the district’s administrative building, just next door to .

Beth Johnston, the district’s director of community relations, explained that any time a new board member is seated, the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education schedules this workshop to provide the new members “with an orientation about what it means to serve on the board.”

The two new board members, which were seated at the April 10 board meeting, were Karen Schuster and Kate Holloway.

Johnston also said Patrick Lanane, assistant superintendent of finance, will present the school district's 2012-13 budget proposal to the board for review and consideration.
