Lindbergh School District Selects Leaders for 2013

Learn more about the volunteers who've contributed to the Lindbergh Schools community. They were honored at a banquet Feb. 22.

The Lindbergh School District congratulates its 2013 class of Lindbergh Leaders, who were honored Feb. 22 at Royale Orleans Banquet Hall. Lindbergh Leaders are individuals in the Lindbergh Schools community who volunteer their time, give of their talents, and show caring to others, according to a news release from the school district. 

This year’s Lindbergh Leaders are Pat Robb, Mariano Marin-Gomez, Scott Taylor, Mike Tyler, Amy Kaiser, Sharon Dobbs, Kim Jacobs and Megan Stryjewski. Learn more about this year's honorees: 

  • Sharon Dobbs, Concord Reading Specialist – “A Lindbergh teacher for 25 years, Sharon constantly challenges herself to ‘think outside the box’ to help every student reach success.”
  • Kim Jacobs, Parent Volunteer – “Kim puts students and staff first, and is always ready and willing to take on a challenge to benefit Lindbergh.”
  • Amy Kaiser, LHS Math Department Chair – “A former Lindbergh Teacher of the Year, a finalist for Missouri Teacher of the Year, and a recipient of the EmersonExcellence in Education Award, Amy is Lindbergh to her core.”
  • Mariano Marin-Gomez, District Technology Director – “Lindbergh is recognized as a Missouri leader in cutting-edge instructional technology thanks to Mariano’s focus, dedication and vision.”
  • Pat Robb, Jr. Flyers Football Coach – “Coach Robb has been a powerful influence on the Jr. Flyers by instilling in them not just athletic skills, but good values, a positive work ethic, teamwork, and individual responsibility.”
  • Dr. Megan Stryjewski, Concord Elementary School Principal – “Always putting the students’ success first, Dr. Stryjewski continually looks for ways to make their learning environment dynamic, fun and exciting.”
  • Scott Taylor, Crestwood Elementary Principal – “He loves what he does; he does it better than anyone around; he gets results; his students, staff and parents love and respect him.”
  • Mike Tyler, Middle Schools Drama Teacher - “Mike’s dedication to students is evident in the number of activities he sponsors, and the inclusion of all students into those clubs and activities.”
