Lindbergh School District Students Receive Accomplishments

Lindbergh High School cheerleaders stood out from a crowd of more than 20 teams during the week of July 25 as they brought home several awards from the National Cheerleaders Association camp at Southeast Missouri State University. Among their honors: 

• Varsity, JV and freshmen squads received bids to go to Nationals
• First place, Champion Chant competition – varsity and freshmen squads
• First place, performance competition – JV squad
• Most Spirited School award – Lindbergh High School (fourth consecutive year to win this award)
• Technical Excellence for Motions award – varsity squad
• SPOT award for safety – varsity and freshmen squads
• Top Gun for Tumbling award – Danielle Koch
• Leadership award – Madison Dougherty, varsity captain
• All American Cheerleaders – SheKieah Kemp, Danielle Koch, Lexi Hoffman, Adrienne Doerr

Students Win Prizes in Missouri MLK Contest

Congratulations to the following Lindbergh students who won prizes in the 2011 Martin Luther King Jr. Poster Contest, sponsored by the Missouri National Education Association:

• Roopal Goel, first place, middle school division
• Lydia Burkett, first place, grades 2-3
• Kaitlyn Crutchley, third place, grades 4-5

This year’s theme was “Dream. Believe. Succeed. Keeping the Dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Alive.” Winners and their teachers each received a gift card.
