Lindbergh Schools Invites Alumni to Annual Banquet

Tickets for the Oct. 9 event are now on sale.

Lindbergh School District alumni are invited to Lindbergh High School's annual Alumni Awards Banquet on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The event honors former teachers, student athletes and distinguished alumni, according to a news release from the school district. Proceeds from the event benefit LHS Alumni Association, which provides scholarships for to college-bound seniors.

This year’s honorees include:

Distinguished retired educators: Dr. James Sandfort, former superintendent; and Veronica Hicks, Lindbergh High School math teacher

Distinguished alumni: Gary Blakemore, class of 1963; Lyn (Palecek) Castellano, class of 1978; Larry “Nick” Monje, class of 1963; Dr. Susan (Nothum) Rose, class of 1964; and Sean Sullivan, class of 1990 (posthumously)

Athletic Hall of Fame awards: Clifford Amen, football, class of 1966; John Jag, baseball, class of 1981; Corey McCarthy, wrestling, class of 1988; Matt Rocca, soccer, class of 1997; and Greg Schuster, baseball, class of 1973

The reception will begin at 6 p.m. at Royale Orleans Banquet Center, 2801 Telegraph Rd., with dinner and awards to follow.

Tickets are $30, and are currently available online at www.lindberghschools.ws/alumni. Those who wish to come are encouraged to RSVP by Oct. 4.
