Lindbergh Students Take Home Science Honors

Sperreng Team Wins Missouri Science Bowl

Sperreng Middle School’s Science Bowl team recently won the Missouri Regional Science Bowl competition at the St. Louis Science Center Exploradome, beating out 22 other teams from across the state. The team will now advance to the National Science Bowl competition in Washington, D.C., April 24-29. Science Bowl is a fast-paced buzzer competition that focuses on a variety of science subjects, including Life Science, Physical Science, Earth and Space Science, Energy, Mathematics , and General Science. Sperreng’s team includes Rounak Bera, Leanne Dang, Shalaka Nimmagadda and Julia Stephens, and is coached by Julie Roy and Chelsea Simon.

LHS Students Win Top Prizes at Symposium

Lindbergh High School students Vidhan Srivastava and Katie Hufker won their respective divisions recently at the Missouri Region Junior Science Humanities and Engineering Symposium, at Maryville University. In addition, Vidhan won first place overall and Katie won second place overall for the entire symposium. They will travel to Ohio in May to present their research at the national Symposium.  For their impressive work, Vidhan took home $1,000 and $2,000 prizes, and Katie won $1,000 and $1,500 prizes.
