March 4 Deadline for Kindergarten Sign-Up

Registration begins Feb. 28 for a week.

Feb. 28 is the first day to sign up for Kindergarten in the Lindbergh School District and registration runs through March 4. 

A child must be five years old before Aug. 1 to attend kindergarten. 

Starting in the 2011-2012 school year the district will lose Truman Elementary but add Concord Elementary after the Early Childhood Education center moved out of Concord school into new facilities. There are five elementary schools.

Kindergarten registration is scheduled by alphabetized groups of parents for a specific day of the week. Call the school to arrange a different day if you can't make the recommended day.

Dates, Mon - Fri:

  • Feb.  28:  Parents whose last names begin with A - C.  
  • March 1:  Last names beginning with D - G. 
  • March 2:  Last names beginning with H - L .
  • March 3:  Last names beginning with M - R.
  • March 4:  Last names beginning with S - Z.

Time:   9 - 11 am and 1 -3 pm

  • Long, 9021 Sappington Road, 314-729-2450
  • Sappington, 11011 Gravois Road, 314-729-2460
  • Concord  --sign up at Truman Elementary School, 12225 Eddie and Park Road, 314-729-2470. Concord is under renovation at 10305 Concord School Rd.

Need to know:

  • only a parent or court-appointed legal guardian may register children. 

Required to register:

  • official birth certificate
  • child’s immunization records 
  • child's Social Security card
  • two proof of parent's residency
  • current utility bill
  • and one of the following
    • real estate or personal property tax bill
    • rental or purchase contract plus deposit receipt
    • IRS tax return

Truman Elementary will become a second middle school and draw students from Sperreng Middle School in the coming school year. The new Early Childhood Education center is on the Lindbergh High School campus, adjacent to the district administration building.
