Shave to Combat Children's Cancer: Join Lindbergh High St. Baldrick's Event

The Lindbergh schools community lost LHS senior Jake Franzel to cancer in 2012.

Lindbergh High School invites you to be brave and shave your head to help raise money for childhood cancer research, during the second annual St. Baldrick’s event at 8 p.m., March 8, according to a news release from the school district.

The event will partly honor former LHS senior Jake Franzel, who died from cancer last year, according to a FOX2 report.

The school district is currently looking for volunteers, or "shavees."

St. Baldrick’s will take place immediately following the Project Graduation basketball game in LHS Gym 3 at Lindbergh High School, or at 8 p.m.--whichever comes first.

To participate, shavees should visit http://www.stbaldricks.org/ and click “Be a Shavee” under the “Get Involved” tab. Shavees should arrive at LHS no later than 7:30 p.m. on March 8. Those who wish to contribute without losing their hair can donate direclty to Lindbergh High School team on the website.
