Student's Foreign Language Achievement Leads to Award at UMSL

Lindbergh's Hannah Tonner was in select company during a March 21 ceremony.

A student from Lindbergh High School gained recognition for her achievement in studying a foreign language.

Hannah Tonner was among 24 St. Louis-area high school students who received a Distinguished Achievement Award for Excellence in Languages during a ceremony on March 21, notes a news release from University of Missouri–St. Louis

This is the first year for the event, which is held by the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.

“The goal of our event is to celebrate the study of foreign languages and encourage students to continue this pursuit at the university level,” stated Ron Yasbin, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, in the release.
