Sunday Night Lights Returns to LHS for Second Year

As seen on the Lindbergh Schools website, the high school football game gives kids with cancer a change to be football stars.

Sunday Night Lights, as seen on the Lindbergh School District website, is returning for the second year in a row Sunday, Oct. 16.

According to the site, game booths will be up from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Concessions will be sold and all proceeds will go to support children and families of Friends of Kids with Cancer and Rainbows for Kids . Attendance to the event is free and open to the public.

A highlight of the night is the 7 p.m. flag football game on Flyers Field at Lindbergh High School, including individual announcements as football players as they take the field. The game is open to children from the previously mentioned charities. Lindbergh's varsity football team, cheerleaders, dance team, Lacrosse club and marching band also will be involved in the night. Participants and their families will be treated to a pre-game dinner.
