Three LHS Students Named National Merit Commended Students

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced recently that three Lindbergh High School students have been named Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.

LHS seniors Amelia Himebaugh, Ruby Parks and Joy Mersmann are among 34,000 student nationwide who have been recognized for their exceptional academic performance. Although they will not continue in the 2014 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students place among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
