High School Football to See New Playoff Format

Lindbergh High School is now in a district with Mehlville, Oakville, Eureka, Lafayette, Marquette, Northwest and Parkway South. See their 2012 football schedules below.

High school football teams will have a more similar playoff system to other sports with a new format that starts this season.

The Missouri State High School Activities Association unanimously voted for the new playoff system in April 2011.

The district championship starts at the tenth game of the season. A points system based on regular season performance will rank the teams in their districts. After three games, the district champion will advance to the state quarterfinals.
