Lindbergh High School Athletes Sign Letter of Intent

Six seniors intend to play football at the college level next year.

Six senior football Flyers from Lindbergh High School have signed letters of intent to play at the college level in 2012-13. 

Here is an in-depth look at each player:

Blake Beauchamp – Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa

All-conference second team wide receiver Blake Beauchamp’s best sports memory as a Flyer is going 10-0 for the season during his sophomore year. In addition to football, which he has played for seven years, he is a recipient of the Renaissance Gold Award and a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Blake, son of Tom and Kelly Beauchamp, will play for the Bulldogs at Drake University, under the direction of Coach Chris Creighton.

Sam Rohr – Quincy University, Quincy, Ill.

Sam Rohr, son of Ann and Steve Rohr, has played football for seven years. He was recently named to the Missouri Coaches All-State Team as second team offensive line, and earlier this year was named to the first team offensive line for All-Conference. Sam’s personal highlight as a Flyer was reaching the quarterfinals his junior year. In addition to football, he is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Link Crew, and is a Renaissance award winner. Sam will play college ball for the Hawks, under the direction of Coach Tom Pajic.

Peter Simpson – Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, Mo.

Quarterback Peter Simpson, son of Ellen and Dave Simpson, reached the state quarterfinals during his junior year as a Flyer and was named to the 2011 All-Conference second team. In addition, he had perfect attendance during six of his eight high school semesters, earned Renaissance awards all four years, and is a member of Student Council. At Missouri S&T, he will play as a Miner for Coach David Brown.

Christopher Kew – Lindenwood University-Belleville, Belleville, Ill.

Linebacker Christopher Kew was named to All-Conference first team this year, and Missouri Coaches All-State second team. Christopher, son of Kerry and David Kew, has played football for four years and is an L-Club leader. The highlight of his high school career was setting the school record for most solo tackles in a game, with 14. Kew will join the Lynx and play for Defensive Coordinator Marcus Klund.

Connor Jones – Lindenwood University-Belleville, Belleville, Ill.

Linebacker Connor Jones, son of Randy and Robyn Jones, has played football for eight years and most recently earned All-Conference honorable mention. Connor’s most memorable moment as a Flyer was going 10-0 during his sophomore year. He is a Renaissance Gold Award winner. Connor will join the Lynx at Lindenwood-Belleville under the direction of Head Coach Jeff Fisher.

Ryan Woodland – Lindenwood University-Belleville, Belleville, Ill.

Defensive back Ryan Woodland earned All-Conference honorable mention during his senior year and eighth year playing football. Ryan, son of Donna Woodland, is a Renaissance award winner, and his favorite high school sports memory is going 10-0 as a sophomore. Ryan will join the Lynx at Lindenwood-Belleville under the direction of Head Coach Jeff Fisher.
