Signing Day: Lindbergh Soccer Players Commit to Colleges

Congratulations to the three athletes who signed with college teams Wednesday!

The Lindbergh School District congratulates three Lindbergh High School seniors who recently signed letters of intent to play at the college level. The following students will play college soccer next year, according to a news release from the school district: 

Lucy Vogt, soccer - Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois
Defender Lucy Vogt will continue her soccer career at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois, where she plans to major in athletic training. Lucy, daughter of Matt and Maggie Vogt, also participates in Student Council, National Honor Society, Yearbook, Try-POD and the swim team. She will play soccer under the direction of Coach Ted Flogaites at WIU.

Angela Black, soccer - Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky
Forward Angela Black, daughter of Linda and Don Black, will head to Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky, where she will major in sports management and play for the Eagles under the direction of Coach Warren Lipka. Her most memorable soccer moment was winning districts in her sophomore year.

Brian O'Neal, soccer - Rockhurst University, Kansas City, Missouri
Brian O'Neal, son of Debbie and Dean O'Neal, plans to continue his 14-year soccer career at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., where he will play under the direction of Coach Tony Tocco. Brian's favorite high school sports moment was scoring a game-winning goal against Vianney. He is also active in Try-POD, DECA, and FBLA. Brian plans to major in business.
