Lindbergh Schools Start Summer Hours

Lindbergh Schools will be operating on a four-day summer schedule through Aug. 9 to reduce expenses and save energy.

Summer doesn't officially begin until June 21, but many school districts and universities are beginning to modify day-to-day operations including Lindbergh Schools

On its Facebook page, the four-day a week summer schedule is posted. The move is an annual attempt to save on costs.

"As in previous years, Lindbergh Schools will be operating on a four-day summer schedule through Aug. 9 to reduce expenses and save energy," a note on the page reads.

Buildings will now be open 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Buildings will be closed on Fridays.

The district said exceptions to this schedule include Lindbergh Early Childhood Education and the ECE section of Truman Middle School, which is home to the ECE Flyers Club. Both will remain open Monday through Friday.

Lindbergh Central Office will be open to the public from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and can be reached by calling (314) 729-2480.
