Learn About Summer Camps and Classes for Lindbergh Students

Attend the Summer Opportunities Fair at Lindbergh High School on Feb. 26.

from Lindbergh School District

A special event presenting summer camps and classes from around our region will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Lindbergh High School Commons.  This is the fourth annual Summer Opportunities Fair hosted by the PEGS and LEAP Parents Groups, in order to provide area students with information about their options for their summer vacation time.

Last year’s event drew camp presenters from as nearby as the district’s own Lindbergh Activities Association all the way to the Cub Creek Science Camp in Rolla, MO.  Camp and class offerings are available for a wide range of ages, from pre-school through high school, ranging from swimming at the YMCA to learning about the space program at the Challenger Learning Center.  Many local arts organizations also offer information about their inspiring programs, including the Laumeier Sculpture Park and the Shakespeare Festival.

“This event is a great, easy way for parents and students to find exciting ways to spend their summer,” PEGS parent and event coordinator Cynthia Schon said. “It is especially important for families like ours, in which both parents work full time, to have a plan for our child’s school break weeks.  Having all of these resources available to us together in a single location makes it much easier to get the information we need.”

Camp and class organizers who are interested in participating in the Lindbergh Summer Opportunities Fair are encouraged to contact us via e-mail at lindberghsummeroppfair@gmail.com.
