Owls are a Hoot at Oak Bend Library

The birds were the stars of the All About Owls presentation by World Bird Sanctuary at the Oak Bend branch of St. Louis County Library.

People weren't the only visitors welcome at the St. Louis County Library Oak Bend branch June 20.

Five owls became the center of attention for all ages in a special All About Owls presentation from the World Bird Sanctuary. Owls Jake, Bogart, Acorn, Tigger and Silo joined WBS presenters Lizbeth Hodges and Mike Alberson to educate young and old about the birds and protecting endangered species.

Library visitors packed the meeting room to see the owls. Laura Polak, the Oak Bend branch's youth services specialist, said she was more than pleased with the unexpected turnout.
