M&I Bank Sunset Hills Raises Charity Funds

The Sunset Hills branch beat out 15 other branches in raising the most money.

A month-long fundraising campaign ended with raising $5,000 for Friends of Kids with Cancer. Overall, 16 M&I branches in St. Louis raised more than $14,000 during the "Give Your Heart to a Child" campaign.

To raise money, employees sold $1 and $5 hearts for the children's charity. Some branches also hosted bake sales, raffles and lunches.

“We look forward to this annual event and are happy to support such a worthy organization like Friends of Kids with Cancer,” said Sunset Hills branch manger Shannon Van Bibber in a statement. Van Bibber now serves as treasurer on the Friends of Kids with Cancer’s young friends board. “Our customers and employees are so generous and truly went above and beyond this year to support families struggling with cancer.”
