Laumeier Sculpture Park 12580 Rott Rd, Sunset Hills, MO63127 This former residence of Henry and Matilda Laumeier was bequeathed to St. Louis County as a park in 1968, opened to the…More public in 1975 and shortly after became a sculpture garden. The 105 acres are open for picnics, walks with pets (on leash) and admiration of the giant, notable sculptures. The cut-stone house has become a museum and offices for the park. There are classes, exhibits and outdoor events held throughout the year. Plenty of lot parking. Visitors wander the site most days.
The corporate headquarters of the popular nationwide restaurant moved into Sunset Hills in November of 2010 with 300…More employees. The company took over the former Anheuser-Busch offices just off I-270 at Watson Road, across the street from sparkling Laumeier Sculpture Park.
St. Louis Bread Co. uses the name Panera outside of the St. Louis Area, but both stores serve the same aromatic coffees, sweets, sandwiches, salads, soups and – need we say it – breads.
In Panera lingo, the headquarters is called a support center. And it's an impressive HQ, especially as the sun sets over the park and reflects in the mirrored windows of the building. There's no shortage of parking.
