Jefferson County Man Indicted for Stealing Father's Pickup Truck; Friend Also Indicted for Assault

Police said the owner tracked the truck to a Crestwood retail parking lot and confronted the men, who drove off as he was hanging onto the truck's door handle. The father suffered a broken leg.

A Jefferson County man was indicted by a St. Louis County grand jury Dec. 5 for stealing his father’s pickup truck, while his friend was indicted for stealing the truck and second-degree assault. St. Louis County prosecutors said the two men, Nicholas Doane, 19, of the first block of Wampler in Jefferson County near Arnold, and Anthony Passiglia, Anthony Passiglia, 28, of Arnold, stole Doane’s father’s truck on Oct. 5. Doane’s father used a cell phone app to track the truck to a Kohl’s department store parking lot in Crestwood, where he confronted the two men and demanded his truck back. Construction Worker Strikes Coworker in Chest With Paving Tool, Narrowly Misses Pacemaker

The wound did not penetrate the man's chest and did not damage internal organs, according to a police report.

A construction worker struck another man with a paving tool, gashing his chest and narrowly missing his pacemaker, police said. Sunset Hills Police said that Brian Kitson, 30, and the second coworker argued throughout the day Oct. 4 at a construction site in Sunset Hills. Kitson then swung the sharp end of an asphalt lute, a tool used to spread hot asphalt, at the man, striking him in the chest, according to the police report. The wounded man first was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Festus and then was transferred by ambulance to St. Louis University Hospital. Man Steals Dad's Truck; Father Ends Up With Broken Leg

The father tracked his son and his friend to a Crestwood parking lot and was injured when the friend drove off in the truck while he held onto door handle.

A man stole his father’s truck, and his friend drove off in the truck while the father was hanging onto the door handle, breaking the man’s leg, according to a Crestwood Police report. Crestwood Police said that Nicholas Doane, 19, of the first block of Wampler Drive near Arnold in Jefferson County, took the truck from his father’s Jefferson County home. Using an app on his cell phone, the father tracked them to the parking lot at Kohl’s department store in Crestwood, police said. He confronted Doane and his friend, Anthony Passiglia, 28, of Arnold, in the parking lot and demanded they return his truck. Sunset Hills Police reports on crime activity, law enforcement, and traffic accidents for Aug. 17-20.

A resident on the 9800 block of Sappington reported their air conditioner stolen on Aug. 17 at 1:03 p.m. It was valued at approximately $1,800. An assault involving a juvenile occurred on the 12700 block of West Watson on Aug. 20 at 10:18 a.m. Police reported to a family disturbance call on the 1-100 block of Black Oak around 12:34 a.m. on Aug. 19. Officers responded to the home a second time around 11:10 p.m. to an attempted suicide. An individual was charged with a DWI on northbound Geyer at Watson Road on Aug. 18 at 11:46 p.m. Steak ‘n’ Shake, 1523 Lindbergh, reported a drunken individual at their business around 1:34 a.m. on Aug. 19.
