Watson Business Closings Irk Community, Alderman

Kentucky Fried Chicken is the latest in a downhill slide along Watson Road.

The sign on the door of the Watson Road Kentucky Fried Chicken said “Thank you for Letting Us Serve You For the Past 25 Years.” A quarter of a century of business has now seemingly disappeared without a trace, and a leasing sign is in the front yard. Residents of Crestwood have taken notice this week, however. Sunset Hills-Crestwood Patch received emails from three readers asking what went wrong. Phil Corpening wrote: “My friend I live here in Crestwood, Mo. and after church I was going to drive by there and get some chicken. However, the place is closed. Why? This was a great place and the food was so nice. Crestwood needs to build up." Interim City Administrator Karl Krestler said that the KFC experienced a problem with its building …

Notice that the "For Sale" sign at the BP station is blown over, for months, and no one has ever set it back up. How courious is this? Also, what is up with these land owner's, an empty business net's the propery owner zero money.   more ›
