Kentucky Fried Chicken is the latest in a downhill slide along Watson Road.
The sign on the door of the Watson Road Kentucky Fried Chicken said “Thank you for Letting Us Serve You For the Past 25 Years.” A quarter of a century of business has now seemingly disappeared without a trace, and a leasing sign is in the front yard. Residents of Crestwood have taken notice this week, however. Sunset Hills-Crestwood Patch received emails from three readers asking what went wrong. Phil Corpening wrote: “My friend I live here in Crestwood, Mo. and after church I was going to drive by there and get some chicken. However, the place is closed. Why?
