P & Z Says No to Emergency Communications Tower, Yes to Petro Mart

The Sunset Hills Planning and Zoning Commission heard petitions for a new communications tower for emergency services and redesigned plans to replace the shuttered Bob Evans on S. Kirkwood Road with a Petro Mart.

A crowd of concerned residents packed the Sunset Hills meeting room to protest both a new emergency communications tower planned for 4580 S. Lindbergh and a new Petro Mart to replace the long closed Bob Evans restaurant at 1430 S. Kirkwood Road. Emergency Communications Tower A representative from Cellective Solutions petitioned the planning and zoning commission for a conditional use permit for a 190-foot telecommunications tower that will be part of an updated St. Louis County Emergency Communications network. The proposed location was in the parking lot of the South County Health Center, next door to Two Heart Banquet Center on S. Lindbergh. Circle K, Shop N Save Top Sunset Hills, Crestwood 2011 Lottery Sales

Shop N Save in Watson Plaza topped sales at $470,027.

The Missouri Lottery has released lotto sales for 2011, and there were definite players in the area. Sales topped $1 billion in Missouri.  The top seller in Crestwood was the Shop N Save in Watson Plaza, with $470,027 worth sold. The Circle K at 1435 Kirkwood Road on the fringe of Sunset Hills was right behind with $433,318 sold.  The attached map indicates sales in the St. Louis area. Darker areas mark higher sales. The map has data for every Missouri ZIP code where lottery tickets were sold. Blank spots indicate no sales. For more information, contact the Missouri Lottery. You must be 18 years of age to play.
