A toddler is dead after being struck by a car at a healthcare facility Wednesday afternoon. St. Louis County Police said a mother had dropped off a passenger and two others in the patient drop-off lane Esse Health on Tesson Ferry Road. The driver pulled into a parking spot and after setting the child down, the toddler ran in between parked cars toward her siblings and in the path of a moving vehicle. “We are all deeply saddened by the loss of this 21-month-old child in this tragic accident in the parking lot of our office earlier today,” said David E. Several Esse Health offices are offering patients multiple flu clinics this fall. The clinics will provide both adult and child patients with the opportunity to receive the 2011-2012 flu vaccination. Offices that are currently offering the vaccine include Creve Coeur Pediatrics, Watson Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Southroads Internal Medicine, South County Internal Medicine, Florissant Pediatrics, Richmond Heights Internal Medicine and O’Fallon Pediatrics. Absolutely heartbreaking!!! My husband and I both cried at the entire situation, everyone involved. As a parent of toddlers who also go to Esse Health and have with our older children as well, all of those doctors go above and beyond in caring for the children.
